Description
ESP-8266 Development Board with integrated ESP-12 board
The ESP8266 is an extremely popular microcontroller similar to Arduino with built-in WiFi
Typical ESP8266 ESP-12 boards do not have a convenient power or programming connection, requiring you to figure out how to supply 3.3V and more before you can work with them. These boards take care of that, and break out the pins to the ubiquitous Arduino UNO pattern, so that you can use dupont cables directly and can even use some UNO shields (provided that the shield is compatible with the pin layout, voltage, etc).
Features and Specifications:
- 11 Digital I/O pins
- 1 Analog input pin
- OTA (Wireless) programming
- Supports Arduino IDE and most Arduino libraries
- Plentiful support and examples supplied by an enthusiastic community
- Onboard voltage regulator supports up to 24V input
- Built-in TCP/IP protocol stack
- UART
- many more…
see http://esp8266.net/ for more thorough specifications, documentation, and examples.
This is similar to the NodeMCU – the main difference being the UNO form with female headers on this board vs the narrower spacing (and male pins) on the NodeMCU boards. We carry both styles and many other development boards and popular + hard to find parts.
